As a single board computer, it is equipped with 512 MB of RAM (DDR3) and Micro-SD card socket for application storage up to 32GB, USB OTG, Digilent Pmod and Gigabit Ethernet for communication and HDMI IN/Out for media. Such a configuration allows booting up embedded Linux Operating System or another Real Time Operating System (RTOS) and developing embedded software early in a fully equipped hardware environment. The FPGA part of the Zynq-7000 module allows designing custom algorithm accelerators and coprocessors or integrate custom controllers for other on-board peripherals such as Accelerometer, CMOS Camera or broad range of of-the-shelf Digilent PMOD modules.
