VHDL Programming Language Interface（VHPI）

VHPIインタフェースはActive-HDLやRiviera-PROでエラボレートされたVHDLモデルのデータにアクセスして修正するための標準的なインタフェースです。このインタフェースはC言語関数のライブラリとして実装されています。シミュレータに実装されたVHPIはIEEEの策定した規格に準拠しており、次の機能を用意しています。 

  • スタティックVHDLデザイン・データへのアクセス
  • ダイナミックVHDLオブジェクトへのアクセス
  • シミュレーションとの対話および制御
  • 外部モデルのインスタンス化と相互通信の仕組み
