Legacy Schematic Design Import and Symbol Import/ExportCategory : Design Entry and DocumentationActive-HDL provides utilities for importing legacy schematic-based designs from Xilinx Foundation Series, ViewLogic ViewDraw series or any schematic tools that can output an EDIF netlist. Schematic files will be fully imported with graphics including all symbols. Imported schematic files can be edited using the Block Diagram Editor, from which HDL code can be generated. Designers can then maintain legacy designs or even retarget the design to modern devices.
