FMC-QSFP

FMC-QSFP High Speed Links Daughter Card

FMC-QSFP card provides QSFP28 and SFP+ extension of FPGA prototyping boards with standard FMC connectors. It can be used in networking applications that require high bandwidth connection to external environments such as implementation of low latency high bandwidth links used in High Performance Computing (HPC) or High Frequency Trading (HFT). Such interfaces can be also utilized to interconnect multiple prototyping boards to create an environment for prototyping of extra large ASIC designs (over 1 billion ASIC gates).

Aldec’s FMC-QSFP daughter cards support data rates of 27.8125 Gb/s per channel via QSFP+, delivering over 100 Gb/s per QSFP28 connector depending on the host device. This aligns with the 100 Gigabit Ethernet (100GbE) standard, which enables data transfer rates of 100 Gb/s and is widely used in data centers, HPC clusters, and advanced networking systems to ensure reliable, high-speed communication over copper or fiber links
