In HES-DVM, is it possible to select any of the probes in RTL signal name in the HW debugger? Or is it necessary to link Riviera-PRO or Verdi server to have full visibility of RTL signal for the selection of probes?

ANSWER

In order to select signals to capture for debug only HW Debugger is needed. Integration with Riviera-PRO or Verdi is provided as additional feature but it is not necessary. All signals including design hierarchy (hierarchy paths) can be browsed in HW Debugger and selected for debug from here.
