Error: COMP96_0115: Actual is not a globally static expression

Solution

By the VHDL 2002 standard, if the actual is an expression, it must be a globally static expression. You can use the -2008 switch when compiling your files and the above error will not be reported. If you are still receiving the error, please contact our support team through our Support Portal.
