1.2 Basics: Design Flow Manager

A typical design path includes the design entry phase, synthesis, and implementation where each stage is typically followed by simulation. The Design Flow Manager (DFM) implemented in Active-HDL is designed to automate these processes. The user interface of the Design Flow Manager takes the form of design flowcharts and shows the design path in a graphical form. In this video, you will learn how to enable the DFM, choose third party vendor tools for synthesis and implementation, and how to access each stage of the synthesis and implementation processes.
