Can I customize my keyboard shortcuts in Active-HDL?

In Active-HDL, there are built-in keyboard shortcuts for various features of the tool. These shortcuts allow users to utilize their time more efficiently without having to search through the various menu toolbars to perform certain actions. Users can add or modify these shortcuts to better suit their needs.

Solution

• Go to Tools | Customize and select the Shortcuts tab.

  

  Note:The Category field lists the various categories within Active-HDL. The Command field lists the various commands for the specified category. The Editor field specifies whether the shortcut applies to specific editor windows, or the whole tool (Global Accelerators).

• Select the Category, Command, and Editor.

• You can view the current command shortcut in the Current assignments: window.

  • To add a new assignment, type the keyboard shortcut in the New assignment: field.

  • To modify the current assignment, select the assignment, click on Remove, enter the new shortcut in the New assignment field, and select Assign.

• Once you are finished adding/modifying your shortcuts, click OK. Your shortcuts will be available for immediate use.
