Which connector should I use for 7-series chip programming?

Solution

The J1 connector compatible with the standard Xilinx Platform cable should be used for Virtex-7 and Kintex-7 FPGA chip configuration.

NOTE: FPGA0-2 chip programming is possible only when FPGA_PROG (Spartan-6) is configured correctly.
