Which FPGA chips are connected to USB interfaces?

Solution

There are two USB2.0 and one USB 3.0 interfaces on HES7 available.

  • The first of the USB2.0 interfaces is connected through USB2.0<-> FIFO converter to FPGA_PROG chip (Spartan-6).

  • The second of the USB2.0 is connected through ULPI transceiver to FPGA1 chip (Virtex-7).

The USB 3.0 interface is connected directly to FPGA1 chip (Virtex-7) pins.

The complete mapping table for USB interfaces is provided in the technical specification - refer to chapter “10.10 USB 3.0 connector connections” for details.
